Research, migrants and cities - study
A study analysing research carried out in the field of 'migrants and cities', which was sponsored by the European Commission, has been released. 'Building bridges. towards effective means of linking scientific research and public policy: migrants in European cities', which was written following a survey carried out by the European secretariat of Metropolis, an international forum for research and policy on migration, diversity and changing cities, has been made available on-line. The report was helped by Commission funding which allowed the international arm of Metropolis to spend a year with the European Research Centre on Migration and Ethnic Relations (ERCOMER). In consultation with the Commission, the secretariat concentrated its activities on mapping European experiences and perceptions of research-policy linkage in the field of 'migrants and cities.
