Council assent to ECSC aid for mining engineering and product upgrading
Council assent is given pursuant to Article 55 92) (c) of the Treaty establishing the European Coal and Steel Community to enable the Commission to grant financial aid of ECU 44,599,200 drawn from the levies provided for in Article 50 of the Treaty, the aid to be distributed as follows: - Community coal research programme in the areas of mining engineering and product upgrading (ECU 44,199,200); - Dissemination of information and associated costs (ECU 400,000). The Council gave its assent, as requested by the Commission, at its 1692nd meeting, held on 24-25 May 1993.
