Phosphate study
In the context of the European Community Environment and Enterprise Policies, the Commission will be awarding a study on phosphates and phosphates alterative contents in detergents. The study will cover the 15 Member States of the European Union and 3 accession countries (Poland, Hungary, and the Czech Republic). The aim of the study is to determine and compare the effects on the environment and on urban wastewater treatment (efficiency, environmental impact, sludge production, cost, etc.) with a view as well on cleaning efficiency of the alteratives on detergent composition with and without phosphates.
