EPO requires multi-megabyte telecoms services
The European patent organisation, through the European patent office has made a call for the provision of multi-megabyte telecommunication services. The organisation has approximately 5,000 employees in four offices in Munich (headquarters), the Hague/Rijswijk, Berlin and Vienna. The call is designed to provide a multi-megabyte telecommunications service between the EPO's offices in Munich and Rijswijk via a different route than that presently operating (through KPN/KPN-Qwest). The services must be operational within four months of the signature of the contract. The contract duration is three years with two optional extensions of one year each.
