Dissemination of scientific and technical knowledge unit: New information brochure
A new general information brochure is available on the Community Research and Development Information Service (CORDIS) and related services. "Accessing Information on Community Research and Development" summarizes the entire range of services now on offer from the dissemination of scientific and technical knowledge unit of DG XIII. In the framework of the VALUE II programme for the dissemination and exploitation of knowledge resulting from Community RTD programmes, the Unit is responsible for a comprehensive information service comprising a range of databases, catalogues, brochures and periodicals. These include CORDIS, Infoguide, Euroabstracts, the Innovation and Technology Transfer (ITT) Newsletter, the quarterly review of progress in coal, steel and related social research, the VALUE press service and the Community RTD Information Publishing Service. All aspects of Community RTD information are covered, ensuring that it is accessible to a broad cross-section of users in an efficient and quality-controlled way. For example, the Unit coordinates and supplements information released by the individual research programmes via centralized dissemination facilities, while the the publishing sevice provides publication guidelines and offers assistance to Community programme managers in the publication of information and results.
