The Joint Research Centre is inviting tenders for the creation of territorial and environmental data sets for four areas in Europe.

In the context of the project on population dynamics and security, the concept of security relates to the processes in which economics, trade, transport, energy, agriculture, industry and all other policies are designed to bring about development that is economically, socially and environmentally sustainable, according to the JRC.

The final aim of the project is to evaluate the impact that EU policies have on the population within and outside the EU borders and at the same time, to contribute to the EU policies in their objectives of aid and socio-economic development.

The service required concerns the production of four geo-referenced land-use databases and the procurement of socio-economic, statistical and environmental data sets for the Province of Leinster (Ireland), Malmoe (Sweden), Harjumaa (Estonia) and for the Dresden (Germany) - Prague (Czech Republic) corridor. The databases will be provided in a GIS (global information system) format.
