ESA offers kids a chance to decorate a spacecraft
The European Space Agency has launched a competition for young people (aged eight to12) to draw a flag representing the Earth. The winning picture of the Earth flag will adorn the Ariane 5 launcher that will carry Envisat (ESA's new advanced Earth observation satellite) into space and the overall winner will be flown to Kourou, in the French Guyana, to see Envisat being launched. The winner and 15 runners-up (one from each ESA Member State and Canada) will also receive computers and printers.
