INTAS calls for regional proposals
INTAS, the cooperative association focusing on the ex-Soviet newly independent states, has launched a call for proposals on projects relating to the improvement of conditions in the Aral Sea basin region. The areas the projects will focus on include both scientific and socio-economic themes, relating to issues such as drinking water, health, natural resources, agriculture and climate issues. Projects must be tackled by a grouping of at least four teams, comprised of at least two from different newly independent state organisations and at least two from different INTAS member states. The maximum funding available per project is 150,000 euro. The call has been made in collaboration with the centre national de la recherche scientifique of France and the Deutsche Forchungsgemeinschaft of Germany. Proposals must be submitted by 12.00 CET on 28 February 2001.
