CORDIS French Presidency news - now available anywhere!
Following the inauguration at the IST2000 event in Nice of the PDA (personal digital assistant) version of the French Presidency service hosted by CORDIS, users can now access all related news articles on their mobile appliances. Users who could already access the latest developments on the site (at the web address below) can now take advantage of an archive of all French Presidency-related news stories. In addition, information on events, speeches, contacts and coverage of major developments all feature on the website, as well as special features such as 'personality of the week'. The move is seen as an element bringing the eEurope plan put forward by Enterprise and information society Commissioner Erkki Liikanen closer, providing equal access for everyone to the activities and initiatives of the Presidency. The activity will continue for all forthcoming Presidencies. The next demonstration of the facility will be in the press room at the meeting of the Research council on 16 November.
