Depletion of the ozone layer
The Commission submitted on 25 January 1990 a proposal for a Council Regulation on substances that deplete the ozone layer (COM(90) 3). This Regulation applies to the importation, exportation, production and consumption of chlorofluorocarbons, other fully halogenated chlorofluorocarbons, halons, carbon tetrachloride and methyl chloroform. Importation into the Community shall be subject to quantitatve limits.
