Development of Portuguese Industry - guidelines for the PEDIP programme
The Commission has drawn up its general guidelines for implementation of the Programme for the Development of Portuguese Industry (PEDIP, 1988-1992) during the year 1991 with commitment appropriations of ECU 119.8 million plus payment appropriations of ECU 104.4 million. Measures approved earlier in the programme shall be continued and reinforced in order to achieve full use of available resources. Monitoring, impact assessment and coordination with related programmes within the framework of Community support for Portugal will be carried out. In the context of area No 4 (Financial Engineering) the Commission will further examine the possibility of introducing a multi-guarantee system during the first six-month period covered by the guidelines.
