New virtual Technology Marketplace: introducing latest exploitable research results
A new architecture and redesign of the CORDIS (Community Research & Development Information Service) Technology Marketplace service will help users identify the latest and best technologies emerging from EU R&D of the 10,000 results gathered on CORDIS at the click of a mouse. The move reflects CORDIS' goals to offer ways to better exploit research results and to facilitate technology transfers. Thanks to a new presentation, users will find simple descriptions and contact details of the latest offers in three sections: business, science and society. The service provides useful links to exploitation support organisations in the world as well as technical tips on technology transfer. In addition, users can submit their own results even if not related to EU funding. Links to CORDIS database services are also available. The marketplace thus helps innovation players to find ideas for new products, to promote their own new technologies as well as to follow and identify latest developments. The current service is a first step towards to a much broader technology exploitation portal. The interactive dimension will also be reinforced by regularly delivering relevant information to SMEs on business opportunities.
