Researcher mobility endorsed by ECOFIN
The ECOFIN (economic and finance) Council of Ministers, meeting on 20 January, formally adopted a common position supporting a recommendation on mobility in education. The recommendation relates to students, persons undergoing training, volunteers, teachers and trainers and follows an agreement reached at the Education Council on 9 November 2000. The common position will now be forwarded to the European Parliament for a second reading in accordance with the co-decision procedure.
