Greece moves closer to ESA
The ESA (European Space Agency) has agreed a framework cooperation agreement with Greece. The agreement, signed by ESA Director General Antonia Rodatá and Greek Minister for Development, Nikos Christodoulakis, set out areas for potential cooperation. Fields include space science, Earth observation research and applications, telecommunications, satellite navigation, microgravity research and ground segment engineering and utilisation. The next step will be to identify projects of mutual interest. Once this has been done, projects will be defined in specific implementing arrangements when the agreement enters into force.
