Hungary gets green light for LIFE
The EU-Hungary Association Council decision adopting the terms and conditions for the Republic of Hungary's participation in LIFE, the European Community's financial instrument for the environment, has now been published in the Official Journal of the European Communities. The decision, which entered into force on 19 January 2001, enables Hungary to participate in the LIFE third phase, starting from January 2001. Proposals submitted to the Commission by Hungary before 31 October 2000 for LIFE nature and before 30 November 2000 for LIFE environment shall be eligible for evaluation.
