The Joint Research Centre of the European Communities has issued a call for tenders (restricted procedure) in the framework of EARSEC (an EC project aimed at establishing a pool of resources to support remote sensing airborne campaigns in Europe using advanced sensors). The JRC would like to extend their current SAR platform and data-processing system to allow SAR interferometry. This will include providing the equipment and services for monitoring multiple antennae on the platform along with the airborne hardware necessary to support this (e.g. motion compensation units) as well as the development of an SAR processor for upgrading an existing processor or in the design of a dedicated stand alone system.
