Training and retraining contract in Uzbekistan
The European Commission has announced a service contract forecast for the training and retraining of unemployed and underemployed groups in Uzbekistan, to be carried out under the Tacis programme. The objective of the project is to assist the Ministry of Labour and the local authorities in developing training and other related measures in two regions to be chosen in accordance with other European Union sectoral activities in the fields of health and rural development. The project is expected to develop an efficient distribution system of relevant training courses, and to implement training courses and other supporting measures in selected regions, in order to help the unemployed find their way to the world of work. This should include a programme of entrepreneurship for unemployed persons to become self-employed entrepreneurs, and the adaptation of existing courses and procedures where necessary. The indicative maximum budget will be 2 million euro.
