New website for sustainable forestry and certification watch
The 'Sustainable forestry and certification watch' (SFWC) has set up a website offering information on the mutual recognition of forest certification systems around the world. Mutual recognition in this sector aims to pull together forest certification systems. In Europe it is implemented through the pan-European forest certification scheme and in North America through an accord with the American tree farm systems and the sustainable forestry initiative. The website is designed to provide information including links and copies of discussions and news of events relevant to mutual recognition in this sector. SFCW hope this will be useful for policy makers in the forest products industry, home improvement and other sectors, who are dealing with forest certification and products labelling.
