RAPIDUS Quickpick: the improved e-mail alert service
CORDIS, The European Commission's Research and Development Information Service, is offering an improved e-mail alert service to help users keep abreast of the latest information. Since 1997, CORDIS has provided RAPIDUS, an e-mail alert service allowing users to customise search profiles in order to track information updates in the database services. The new Quickpick feature offers a selection of the most popular profiles. Users can easily and quickly choose from a list of profiles using a two-step procedure: choosing options and selecting research fields. Quickpick also offers a simplified way to follow CORDIS updates such as new calls for proposals and tenders, new research partner profiles, latest research programme news, upcoming events and more. Updates corresponding to users' choice will be sent regularly by e-mail. In addition, users can still use their RAPIDUS profiles and create an unlimited number of new, tailored information requests with specific keywords. Profiles can constantly be revised or deleted. CORDIS is therefore offering the opportunity to track all new developments in two ways, through Quickpick predefined profiles and via RAPIDUS for a customised approach. The two complementary features are available free of charge for registered users.
