First diplomas awarded to students from Commission funded course
Diplomas have been awarded to the first students to complete VOCATIONES, the vocational training in sustainable energy technologies course, funded by the European Commission's Leonardo da Vinci programme. The diplomas were awarded on 25 May in Caras Severin, Romania. The project aimed to provide vocational training in new and renewable energy technologies for young people and adults without adequate vocational qualification as well as the establishment of a regional centre for sustainable energy. The project focuses on the Caras Severin county, an economically underprivileged region of Romania. VOCATIONES aims to foster new employment opportunities and create a knowledge base for sustainable energy developments in the region.
