The European Commission's Energy and Transport DG has announced a call for tenders for a study on 'climate protection objectives and its implications for transport and other relevant sectors in Europe'. The objective of the study is to provide the scientific and analytical input to continue the process of developing integrated transport and energy policy strategies for an enlarged Community, which contribute to the need of drastic greenhouse gas emissions reduction over the next 50 years. The analysis should cover the period 2010 to 2030 and focus on transport and energy, its technologies, fuel specifications, infrastructure requirements and relevant policies and measures in a world of climate protection. For further information, please contact: European Commission Directorate-General Energy and Transport Attn Mr Kuebler rue de la Loi/Wetstraat 200 B-1049 Brussels Tel: +32-2-295 2950 Fax +32-2-296 9483 E-mail: Knut.Kuebler@cec.eu.int
