Commission announces call for tender for information society studies
The European Commission's Information Society Directorate-General has announced a call for tender for three studies on digitization, research agendas and inclusiveness issues regarding digital content, cultural and scientific heritage and associated institutions. Much 'Information Society' content will be derived from cultural and scientific heritage resources. The objective of the call for tender is to execute the proposed studies on the building and provision of these digital resources, the co-operative research done for it and the social and economic role these resources play. The call for tender is divided into three lots, each of which corresponds to an individual study: Lot 1 - reference models for digitization practices and co-ordination Lot 2 - national and regional approaches towards initiatives and agendas for culture, arts and entertainment: emerging models for cultural co-operation Lot 3 - social and economic inclusiveness: role of cultural and memory organisations The Commission proposes, in the framework of the 'Information Society' and the IST programme, to assign to the three strategic studies on the subject, the aforementioned lots. For further information, please contact: European Commission Directorate-General Information Society Unit D/2 - Cultural Heritage Applications Jean Monnet Building Rue A. de Gasperi L-2920 Luxembourg Tel: +352 43 01-33526 Fax: +352 43 01-33530
