Innovative energy project could win 10,000 euro
Companies, public and private organisations and individuals worldwide are in with a chance of winning 10,000 euro if they submit their innovative project to the Energy Globe Award 2002. Awards will be granted for the third year running to the best sustainable energy solutions in the fields of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources. The competition is organised by O.Oe. Energiesparverband in Austria, and has proved popular in the past, with last year's contest attracting over 1,000 entries from 75 countries. New this year is the water globe award, which will be presented to outstanding innovative water projects. The awards will be celebrated at a ceremony in Linz, Austria on 6 March, and the best projects will also be presented at the international conference 'world sustainable energy day' on 7 and 8 March in Wels, Austria. The project submission should include a short summary and description of the project, a contact person, pictures or other documentation. Projects should be submitted in either English or German on or before 24 October 2001.
