The European Commission's Environment Directorate-General has announced a call for tender for the provision of a study contract on European workers occupationally exposed to ionising radiation. The study contract is divided into two parts. Part 1 will cover the updating of the two most recent Esorex-1999 reports on the assessment of the national regulatory control and monitoring arrangements for occupationally exposed workers in Europe. Part 2 will cover the assessment of radiological monitoring data of all workers classified as occupationally exposed to ionising radiation in the following countries: 15 EU Member States, N, CH, IS, EST, LAT, LIT, PL, CZ, SLO, SV, H, BG, ROM, CYP, MAL. For each country, the total number of workers should be assessed and the number of workers should be evaluated according to their individual dose received, separated into dose bands.
