Supporting research infrastructures in the environment field
CORDIS, the European Commission's Research and Development Information Service, is offering a new site dedicated to supporting actions for infrastructures in the Environment and Sustainable Development (EESD) programme. The site offers a comprehensive picture of supported activities under the Fifth Framework programme and previous programmes. Detailed projects can be consulted covering, for example, information networks, dedicated web sites or catalogues, in order to monitor, observe and predict marine biodiversity, climate change, earthquake and volcanic activities and more. In addition, the site offers links to reference documents and contacts as well as a guide on how to set up a web site for a funded project. The service offers a clear overview of the current efforts to support and foster European coordination, networking and connection between existing public and private facilities and to improve their exploitation.
