Commission calls for study on environmental performance indicators
The European Commission's Enterprise DG has announced a call for tenders for a comparative study of national schemes to analyse the problems of LCA tools (connected with, for example, processing hazardous substances) and the environmental aspects of harmonised standards. The overall objective of the study is to provide the technical specification writers with specific information on how and where to include environmental performance indicators and other key environmental aspects (for example, the release of dangerous substances from construction products) within the framework of European technical specifications for construction products.
