JRC announces call for tender for study into effect of biocides on insects
The European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) has announced a call for tender for a study on the effects induced in monophagous and polyphagous insects by biocides most used in agriculture. The study, which will be based at the JRC's Institute for Environment and Sustainability in Ispra, Italy, should be carried out on three different species of agricultural interest. It should be focused on the establishment of one or more 'biomarkers of exposure' to be used in assessment exercises of possible environmental hazards for conventional and new formulations of biocides. The main toxological parameters to be explored will be their possible endocrine disruption ability and their genotoxicity.For tender documents, please contact: Mr A.
