Friuli-Venezia-Guila joins CORDIS regional gateway
CORDIS, the Community Research and Development Information Service, has welcomed the Italian Regione Autonoma Friuli-Venezia-Guilia to its regional gateway service. A border area with many high-tech companies providing services for traditional sectors, the Friuli-Venezia-Guilia region is offering a new window on its innovation related infrastructures, services and activities. Developed jointly by the regional authorities, the AREA Trieste Science Park and CORDIS, the service provides information on regional key actors, new developments and participation in European programmes. Housing one of the main multisectorial science parks in Europe and two leading universities (Trieste and Udine), the region hosts innovative organisations which have been strongly involved in European research, participating in more than 450 EU funded projects. A list of links provides further insight into major innovation related initiatives in this region and offers an easy means of locating more information and contacts. The regional research and innovation service enables regions to promote their innovation related infrastructures, services and activities. More than 20 European regions are already promoting their profiles via CORDIS.
