Trans-European telecommunications call announced
The European Commission has announced a call for proposals for projects of common interest in the field of trans-European telecommunications networks - generic services and applications. The exploitation of broadband mobile networks is of particular interest as it allows the upgrading of existing, as well as the development of entirely new services and applications. The project proposals should demonstrate the commitment of the organisations or consortia to ultimately make the applications or services available to the public. The proposals may either address the study phase of the project (business plan elaboration and commercial validation, or equivalent for services to be funded from public resources), or the initial market deployment phase, as defined in the guide for proposers. Proposals must refer to one or more of the following projects: - Trans-European telecommunications generic service - Trans-European telecommunications networks for education and training - Trans-European telecommunications networks for access to Europe's cultural heritage - Trans-European telecommunications applications and services for SMEs - Trans-European telecommunications networks for transport and mobility - Trans-European telecommunications for the environment and emergency management - Trans-European telecommunications networks for health - Trans-European city and regional information networks (as a combination of the projects mentioned above) - Trans-European telecommunications networks for new work methods and services for the job market. The projects chosen from the above list must be specified in all correspondenceThe text of this call and the guide for proposers are available at the following web address: http://www.europa.eu.int/tentelecom(opens in new window)
