The European Commission is launching a new website in April, Gate2Growth.com aimed at helping entrepreneurs, start, finance and develop their business. The service, whose objective is to support innovative entrepreneurs in Europe, will be a portal to networks of financiers, company growth experts and service providers. Its guides, tools and contacts will seek to stimulate a dynamic approach, while advice from experts will strengthen business plans. The networks taking part in the initiative are: - I-TecNet, a meeting place for early stage, technology venture capital investors; - the Gate2Growth incubator forum, a network of Europe's incubator professionals; - ProTon Europe, the pan-European association of university and industrial liaison and patent officers; - the Gate2Growth finance academia, bringing together business and management schools from across Europe. A company's progress can be gauged by potential investors through Gate2Growth.com. Detailed profiling of development will also identify the financial and managerial support needed, while recommending high quality providers. The Gate2Growth initiative will also offer tools to reduce time to investment and increase the visibility of young innovative companies.
