Expert assistance in field of information technologies
The European Commission has issued a restricted procedure contract notice for a contract relating to the provision of expert assistance in the field of information technologies, in particular privacy enhancing technologies. The tasks of this expert shall be to: a) report on and analyse the developments in the field of information and communication technologies, including architectures, models, protocols, tools, applications, systems, reports and services which affect identity management; b) evaluate these developments with regard to their impact on the right to privacy and data protection; c) identify potential obstacles to the implementation of data protection principles in the internal market due to technological developments; d) explore whether these potential obstacles could be removed by technical measures; e) anticipate future developments. The contract is to be awarded for a maximum of 45 days of effective work as and when required over a period of 12 months and will take effect from the date of the signature of the contract.
