The European Commission's Enterprise DG has published a call for tenders for a contract to benchmark national policies in support of secure e-business. The contract involves assisting the Commission in identifying current governmental practices to promote secure e-business in the EU, in particular to help small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). The contractor shall collect information and assist in assessing the identified policies and actions against certain benchmark criteria. A synthesis report will be prepared after six months from the start of the work. The results shall be further analysed with a view to identifying good examples of security-related policies in support of SMEs, resulting in recommendations and proposals for targets.
