Call for tenders for Internet audience measurement
The European Commission's Information Society DG has issued an open call for tenders for an Internet audience measurement service in Internet users and use. The eEurope 2002 action plan was launched at the Feira European Council in June 2000. It sets out a detailed programme covering 64 actions to accelerate development of the information society in Europe. To monitor these developments, the Commission in cooperation with the Council, has agreed a list of indicators to benchmark eEurope. The Internet audience measurement service should cover the indicator on frequency of use, social data of the users and type of use for at least 90 per cent of the Internet population of the EU (plus, if possible, Norway, Iceland and the United States). This call for tenders invites tenders from companies which are able to provide a panel-based Internet audience measurement service. The duration of the service contract will be 24 months. The service will receive 100 per cent funding. For further information, please contact: European Commission Information Society Directorate-General B-1049 Brussels Tel: +32 2 296 34 22 Fax: +32 2 296 17 80
