Call for expressions of interest for IT and communication services
The European Commission's Health and Consumer Protection DG has issued a call for expressions of interest for assistance services in the fields of information technology and communication. The European Food Safety Authority is in the course of being established. The place of its permanent seat has not yet been decided. Its provisional seat is in Brussels. The authority's main responsibility will be to provide independent scientific advice in all fields which impact on food safety. It will have a broad mandate covering all stages of the production and distribution of food, from primary production to the supply of food to the consumer and feed safety for animals. Tasks: The Health and Consumer Protection Directorate-General is responsible for creating, preparing and monitoring the new authority, particularly in the context of establishing the necessary infrastructure.
