For the third year in row EUROSCIENCE is launching a new Rammal Award campaign, created in memory of the highly regarded Lebanese physicist Rammal Rammal. Candidates are asked to nominate scientists, although self-candidacies will not be ruled out. The award goes annually to an outstanding personality of strong scientific stature from one of the Mediterranean countries. It rewards someone who, through his or her life and activity (whether in fundamental or applied research, teaching, or the integration of knowledge), has given a new and modern form to the flow of scientific exchange. Scientists of all disciplines may suggest names of nominees. Active scientists from any disciplinary background, including exact sciences, social sciences and humanities, are eligible.
