Construction research seminar to discuss FP6 project proposals
A brokerage event for construction R&D (research and development) in Brussels on 3 and 4 October will provide information on expressions of interest already submitted, allowing interested parties to contact the consortia immediately. The workshop is being organised by E-CORE, a European construction research network funded under the Growth programme of the Fifth Framework programme. It will focus on the preparation and development of Sixth Framework programme (FP6) proposals, providing information on the new instruments and the thematic priority areas of particular interest to the construction sector, such as information society technologies, nanotechnologies and sustainable development. Pooling the expressions of interest submitted to the European Commission as well as new project ideas, the workshop will provide an opportunity to develop the final composition of project consortia and networks. The event will include presentations by scientific officers from the Commission on the priority themes and opportunities for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and a status report on submitted expressions of interest. Organisations which have not yet published their proposals on the E-CORE website are invited to do so.
