EUROWARDS, formerly the European awards for the spirit of enterprise, has launched its entrepreneur competition for 2002. The winner will be announced on 8 October in Luxembourg. Run by Spirit of enterprise group, EUROWARDS is being held in more than 25 European countries. It is open to companies in all sectors and is organized in the four categories of encouragement, seed, start-up and expansion. EUROWARDS organises activities for start-ups and is an independent association that is supported financially by several public institutions, including the European Commission, the European Parliament, national governments, the main European newspapers and enterprises.
