COMETT, the Community programme of cooperation between universities and industry for training in the field of technology, has launched its last annual call for applications under COMETT II (1990-1994). As this is a restricted call, it will not appear in the Official Journal of the European Communities. The 1994 call for applications, restricted to COMETT University-Enterprise Training Partnerships (UETPs) includes proposals for Strand Ba (Integrated Student Placements), Strand Bc (Personnel Exchanges), Strand Ca (Short Training Courses) and Strand D (Complementary Measures). Submissions under Strand D are restricted to UETPs selected under the first COMETT II call for applications in 1990. In 1993 COMETT accepted 597 new projects, more than 7,000 student placements, and about 500 training courses, involving a total of 11,000 European organizations. The likely number of projects to be accepted in 1994 is 6,800 Exchanges and 610 Courses. The provisional budget estimate is ECU 20.4 million for Strand B, ECU 6.1 million for Strand Ca and ECU 20,000 per UETP for Strand D applications.
