Greek government offers grants to establish incubators and science parks
The General Secretariat for Research and Technology at the Greek Ministry of Development is calling for applications for grants to establish and develop incubators and science and technology (S&T) parks. The grants will be funded under the ELFTHO scheme, which is co-financed by the European Union's regional development fund and the Greek government. Through this programme, the Greek government aims to increase the creation of new enterprises capable of competing in international markets. The mission of science parks, technology parks and incubators, is the development of innovation through the provision of support to knowledge-intensive enterprises (typically high technology and/or research enterprises). New enterprises face difficulties related to the absence of an environment conducive to further growth: they lack premises with appropriate infrastructure, advice regarding the commercialisation of innovative products and services, and initial funding (seed or early-stage capital). For further information, please contact: Mr D Desipris Tel: +30 210 775 2222 E-mail: ddes@gsrt.gr or visit: http://www.gsrt.gr(opens in new window)
