Commission calls upon e-business community to join support network for SMEs
The European Commission's Enterprise DG has called for expressions of interest for participation in the European e-business support network for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). The initiative is part of the Commission's e-Europe 2005 action plan, and aims to bring together European, national and regional players to strengthen and coordinate e-business support activities for SMEs. E-business experts will have an opportunity to share experience and good practice with a view to helping SMEs use the Internet as a business tool. Participation will be voluntary, and will rely on willingness to share experience and information informally. The network will be open to e-business related initiatives from EU Member States, candidate countries and countries from the European Economic Area (EEA).
