Regular CORDIS reports on first term of the Greek Presidency's research agenda
CORDIS, the European Commission's Research and Development Information Service, is offering a window dedicated to research and innovation activities led by the Greek Presidency, in place since January 2003. The service, available in English and Greek, has delivered timely coverage of key news and major achievements of the Presidency. Developed jointly by CORDIS and the Greek National Documentation Centre, the service highlights the Presidency's programme and priorities. It provides in depth coverage of news and events, including conclusions of Council meetings and various conferences illustrating the Presidency's priorities. Users can, for example, review news items on the adoption of the European Community patent as well as key interviews with Dimitris Deniozos, General Secretary for Research and Technology, as well as active stakeholders. The press section offers a quick overview of the achievements of the Presidency within its first term as well as insights on upcoming developments to establish the European Research Area and cooperation with candidate countries - two major priorities. In addition, the service offers an overview of the Greek research system, up to date information about Greek involvement in European research and information on Greek funding opportunities, key figures, national contacts and useful links.
