The Commission has issued a call for expressions of interest from prospective contractors for collaboration in the preparation, implementation and ongoing adjustment of European Social Fund (ESF) operations. This call replaces the one published in the OJ No C 134 of June 1990. The aim of technical assistance is to enhance the quality and coherence of action by the ESF and to ensure the best and most effective use is made of it. Technical assistance measures comprise the programming, preparation, implementation, management, monitoring, control and evaluation of operations which are eligible for ESF assistance. Over 50 such measures are listed in the call. Within the technical assistance framework, studies, analyses, seminars and experts could be financed.
