CORDIS provides powerful search tool for FP6 calls
CORDIS, the European Commission's Research and Development Information Service, is providing comprehensive access to funding opportunities under the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) and working documents. To ease identification of, and participation in, calls for tenders, proposals and expression of interest, CORDIS launched a Call service in December 2002. This service has now been completed with the addition of a new and powerful search feature. More than 60 FP6 calls have been published on CORDIS. The search feature offers a user-friendly means to review the latest publications and to track useful information. In a few clicks, users can identify calls according to specific FP6 programmes and activity topics. The powerful tool also provides ways to search by call type, call status or keywords. The search results offer a quick overview of the budget, topics covered and potential restrictions, as well as direct links to all supportive documents published and available on the service. This new search interface is yet another improvement aimed at assisting potential participants in FP6 to successfully apply for European funding. The feature can be used in conjunction with the email alert service, a free tool provided by CORDIS, which enables interested parties to be automatically informed of call publications for specific programmes.
