Executive Director sought for the European Environment Agency
The recently established European Environment Agency is inviting applications for the post of Executive Director. To be based in Copenhagen, the Agency will provide objective and reliable environmental information to help the European Union and its Member States to formulate and implement sound policies to protect the environment as well as ensuring that the public is fully informed on environmental issues. The appointment will be for a five-year term, renewable, and the Executive Director will have full executive and management responsibility for the administration of the Agency. Support for the Agency will be provided by an environment information and observation network with components in all the countries of the European Union. Membership of the Agency is open to other European Countries.
