Final adoption of EU general budget 1994
The General Budget of the European Union for the financial year 1994 was adopted by the European Parliament on 16 December 1993. This adoption by Parliament is the final step in the legislative procedure. The text of the adopted Budget is now available in the Official Journal of the European Communities. Chapters in the General Budget present the overall statement of revenue plus statements of revenue and expenditure by section (Parliament, Council, Commission, Court of Justice, Court of Auditors). A section on Research and Technological Development is included under the statement concerning the Commission. This covers: - The Joint Research Centre; - Enabling technologies; - Management of natural resources; - Management of intellectual resources; - Dissemination and exploitation activities; - Strategic analysis and preparatory measures for the Framework Programme 1994-1998; - Exploitation of the industrial potential of Community research, development and technological demonstration.
