Opinions of the Economic and Social Committee
At its 281st plenary session of 20 November 1990, the Economic and Social Committee adopted opinions related, inter alia, to proposals for Council Decisions regarding specific RTD programmes (1990-94) in the following areas: Biomedicine and health; measurements and testing; telematic systems in areas of general interest; information technology; communication technologies. Opinions on Notices from the Commission laying down guidelines for the Member States and related to Community initiatives are also set out, including: operational programmes in the framework of EUROFORM, concerning new qualifications, new skills and new employment opportunities; operational programmes/global grants within the framework of NOW, to promote equal opportunities for women in employment and vocational training; operational programmes/global grants for pilot projects under HORIZON, concerning handicapped persons and certain other disadvantaged persons.
