New updated CORDIS Mini-Guide makes the most of the service's many benefits
This pocket size publication presents the main CORDIS services in a practical and concise style. It provides an overview of the latest developments available on CORDIS to facilitate participation in the current EU Framework Programme (FP6). It answers the practical questions of the various CORDIS user communities - researchers, entrepreneurs, business specialists, journalists, representatives from government agencies, public services and non-profit organisations, and does much more than the simple listing of CORDIS services. The guide sets out how CORDIS, as an interactive communication platform, helps users find relevant information and guidance on: previous and current EU programmes, administrative steps for a successful proposal with the online submission facility (EPSS), map-based local and/or international partner searches, the latest daily news and weekly reviews on European research and innovation, exploitable research results, e-mail alert services and much more. The new version of the mini-guide also promotes the new Innovation Portal, concentrating innovation-related information and services into a single entry point to ease the exploitation of research and development (R&D) results and increase the competitiveness of European small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). In addition, it introduces CORDIS Wire as a service to promote users' activities, particularly relevant for the FP6 Networks of Excellence and Integrated Projects in the light of their contractual obligations to implement a communication action plan. The CORDIS Mini-Guide is an ideal reminder of the main CORDIS services' web addresses that can be kept close at hand, or distributed when organising a conference or training session on research and innovation. It is also available online in English in PDF format.
