New CORDIS regional research and innovation service for Stuttgart
CORDIS, the Community Research and Development Information Service, has launched a new regional research and innovation service for the Stuttgart region in Southwest Germany. Developed by the Stuttgart Region Economic Development Corporation, this service offers an introduction to the geography, economy and activities of the region, as well as highlighting in particular the research infrastructure, technical expertise and support for innovation available. Situated in the federal state of Baden-Württemberg, the Stuttgart Region has a population of 2.6 million, advanced industrial infrastructure and its own parliamentary assembly. The service includes an overview of the research infrastructure of the region (universities, research organisations etc.), as well as support for technology transfer and financing services, nurseries and incubators. It also aims to promote further cooperation with other European stakeholders. It is part of the CORDIS Regional gateway, which now covers 30 European regions.
