The European Agency for Health and Safety at Work has published a call for tenders for the provision of research expertise related to the establishment of an occupational safety and health observatory. The contract covers research and support tasks associated with the Risk Observatory. The contractor will carry out various types of study in the area of research on safety and health at work and will support the Agency in related activities. Furthermore, it will assist in the communication of the studies' main findings through reports and other types of paper publications, through online material, and by assisting with events. The Risk Observatory will use information from various sources to describe the current occupational safety and health situation in Europe and to look ahead and identify the principal emerging risks. In order to describe the current situation, the Risk Observatory relies principally on 'official' data from the national and European level. Identification of emerging risks, on the other hand, mainly utilises expert opinion and published research. For all of its work, the Risk Observatory must ensure that the information it provides is reliable, relevant and suited to the target audience. For further information, please contact: European Agency for Health and Safety at Work Attn: Mr William Cockburn Gran Via 33 E-48009 Bilbao Tel +34-94-479-4360 Fax +34-94-479-4383 E-mail: Information@osha.eu.int To see the full details of the call, please consult the following web address: http://ted.publications.eu.int/udl?REQUEST=Seek-Deliver&LANGUAGE=en&DOCID=039899-2005(opens in new window)
