Expert judgement in nuclear safety
The pilot phase of a study to assess the uncertainty associated with predictions of the consequences of postulated nuclear accidents has recently been completed by the European Commission (DGs XI and XII) in cooperation with the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The joint study is the latest in a series of initiatives taken by the European Commission in recent years to promote methodological developments in the area of expert judgement elicitation and in it's subsequent use.
